Here are some photos from a recent shoot I had with a local band called Ranger. They’re in the process of creating a new album. Check out their Kickstarter campaign to read all about it.
Ain’t No Way
Here’s my latest stop motion project. It’s the music video for my friend Matt Moody‘s song ‘Ain’t No Way.’ The song is on his album El Baile De Los Muertos, set to release on December 10th. The release party is an art show featuring work done by Matt’s wife (she and her work can be seen in this video). Yours truly will also be showing a piece, so keep an eye out for more info on that.
Also – check out what The Scene is saying about Matt. And watch this Mercedes Benz commercial that features his song “Name Your Heart.” Good stuff!
I’ve got lots of new portraits to share with you, as well as some more music work AND photos from my Maine roadtrip. Stay tuned!

Evan
Please keep the family of Evan Thomason in your thoughts and prayers. This incredible 10-year old boy lost his fight with neuroblastoma early yesterday morning. I had the pleasure of meeting Evan and his family at their home in Birmingham just a few weeks ago. I was absolutely blown away by his bravery, his sincerity and his smile.

Kaitlin’s Bridal Lunch
I recently took some photos of a bridal lunch at a beautiful home in Franklin. The bride, Kaitlin, is the one in the yellow dress (but you probably would have figured that out). The gorgeous floral arrangements were done by the bride’s uncle. See more of his work here: Knestrick By Design. Beautiful!
Mark and Cindy get married.
I think I’ve known Cindy my entire life – she and my Mom have been good friends for a long time. I had such a great time shooting her and Mark’s wedding last weekend in Huntsville. They are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever photographed. It was such a lovely day, and I hope these images do it justice.
ENCM – Pizza Party
I have the privilege of taking photos for a local organization called ENCM. They recently built a cob oven in their community garden here in East Nashville. And they had a pizza party last week to celebrate! Beautiful night, delicious food, and friendly people. I had such a great time.
“ENCM is a 501c3 non-profit, interdenominational organization, which is currently supported by several dozen faith communities and hundreds of individuals. This support enables us to serve as a “safety-net” and a “developer.” As a safety-net we help the elderly, poor, disabled, unemployed, and disadvantaged with emergency food assistance and emergency access to clothing. As a developer, we work to empower community wellbeing through food security. We educate on matters of food production and consumption and grow, glean, and reclaim fresh whole foods for allocation in East Nashville.”
The Latest.
Brand new photos of By Lightning, shot and edited this evening. If you still haven’t seen them perform – you’re in luck. They’ve announced three shows this month, the first of which is this Wednesday at Mercy Lounge. The summer rolls on…
